Casais Brancos · Atouguia da Baleia · Peniche

Nature, peace and countryside, minutes from the sea.

Casa da Aldeia is a rural tourism property in Casais Brancos, between Peniche and Baleal, with six independent houses to rent. Gardens, fruit trees and a vegetable garden, minutes from the waves of Supertubos.

The place

Nature, peace and countryside

We're a family from Lisbon who turned a rustic Casais Brancos house into a 4,000m² retreat for those who want to truly slow down and connect with nature.

Casa da Aldeia is on Portugal's west coast, in Peniche, next to the small village of Casais Brancos. Six independent houses spread across a quiet plot of land, among pear trees, banana trees and a vegetable garden. Each one has its own entrance and space, away from the hustle, close to the countryside and just minutes from the sea. It's a very calm, peaceful spot, but we're not isolated, we're in a village.

Check-in is self-service, any day of the week. It's also a good place to work remotely, in a beautiful spot with good conditions, with plenty of time left over to catch a few waves or explore the west coast, which has so much to offer.

Shared spaces

What sits between the houses

A garden, a pool and an outdoor kitchen, shared by every guest, for the moments spent alone or together, however the day feels. Each house also has its own outdoor space within this larger garden, except for one.

Jardim comum da Casa da Aldeia

Shared garden

A lush green garden between the houses, with pear, olive, peach and plum trees, alongside many other fruit trees, plus the vegetable garden. Two friendly dogs also live with us, in the main house. They're not always loose, but every so often they walk around here with us. We're dog lovers ourselves, but since we already have our own, we're not able to accept guest pets.

Piscina da Casa da Aldeia

Heated pool

The pool, in dark tones that contrast with the green surrounding it, is open all year round and heated to 26°C between May and October. In summer, it's the perfect way to cool off after a day at the beach or in the countryside.

Barraca, interior com forno e grelhador Barraca, churrasco exterior

"Barraca", for cooking, relaxing and gathering

The Barraca splits into two moods. Inside, it's a living room, with a fireplace and sofa for cooler days, a work table, and everything you need to cook, grill, or spend the afternoon playing cards or darts. Outside, it's for gathering: a sheltered barbecue, a long antique wooden table, and festival lights for evenings that run long, with a rustic bathroom right alongside.

The six houses

Each house, its own character

Different layouts, all independent with their own entrance and complete privacy. Each house has its own personality, with details thought out with real love and care, so your stay feels like no other. You stay in the village, not in a hotel.

Together, the six houses accommodate up to 18 people, making room for small events or retreats.

At breakfast

Breakfasts and snacks

Pancakes, scrambled eggs, granola and fresh fruit. A breakfast add-on, not included in your stay, served in your own house, at the Barraca, or outdoors in the shade of the banana trees. It's one of our favourite moments of the day, and we love sharing it with our guests. Later in the day, there's also a cheese and charcuterie board option, to enjoy with a bottle of wine.
